Grandma had this awesome magnetic sand that the kids had a blast with. Verity would just sit and play and play with this. We've been working on a sensory diet with her and this was perfect.

California Visit Part 1

We had an absolutely wonderful visit this August with Matthew's family. The kids were crying when we had to leave and have been asking repeatedly when they get to go back ever since. Here is Boss playing the harmonica with Uncle Dan. My Musical Man was in absolute heaven in this musical house.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

This was one of my favorite places to visit as a kid when we lived near Monterey. My Grandma had bought passes for all of us and I have so many memories here. It was so special to be able to bring my kiddos and see it through their eyes for the first time. 

Gethey found the penguins! They were all she wanted to see since we first got there, and after we left the exhibit she kept wanting to go back. Real live penguins! Look at her face.

One of the penguins kept swimming back and forth under the water right in front of them. The three of them would run back and forth along with it. So cute!!

The jellyfish have always been my favorite. When I was little I thought they looked like pink ballerinas.

This was a massive deep water tank with huge fish that you could walk right up to and stand against. It was in a pitch dark room and I thought the kids would be scared, but nope.
