The Kiddos

These sisters are always holding a doll or stuffed animal. The most played with toy right now is our box of doll clothes. I sewed them cloth diapers for their dolls the other day and in doing so secured my spot as the coolest mom EVER. :) They bring their dolls with them everywhere we go. Verity likes to carry hers in her doll ergo.

Gethey reminds me daily that she is going to wake up on Christmas morning and Santa will have finally brought her a pink ergo for her baby. This is seriously the way this girl talks. Like she is the maker of things by virtue of the force of her will alone. She keeps telling me that after her next birthday she will be five. Trust me, this one knows her numbers, and knows full well she will be four. But she thinks she can change the law of the land to skip a year. She is wanting to grow up way to fast. We are constantly peltered with questions: "When am I gonna be 16?" "WHen am I gonna be a mom?" "When am I gonna be 13?" "When am I gonna be a mom?" "But WHEN AM I GONNA BE A MOM?" The other day she seriously almost broke into tears because, heartbrokenly, "Its gonna be too long until I am a mom! I can't wait that long!!"

Verity is very into wanting to wear her hair down all the time now. She will ask if she can wear her hair down if she brushes it out by herself. Then she will stand next to me and ask if it is "good enough" after each brush stroke. Yesterday Gethey asked if she could wear her hair down too, so I think she is catching onto the trend.

And the boy. With his truck. He is melting my heart in a serious way moment by moment. He will call, "Mommy?" "Yes, Bosco?" "I love you!" "Oh I love you too, Bossy!"
I coughed the other day while holding him. He looked up at me and asked, "'K?" in a concerned voice.
Last night I was working on a craft on the kitchen table and he comes up to me and plants his arms on my legs and goes, "How are you?"
Sweet-Ness.
